Refer a Neighbor: Switch to a Heat Pump Water Heater

Thank you for everyone who participated in the Refer a Neighbor program, and those who helped neighbors switch to a heat pump water heater. The City is no longer accepting referrals, but you can still gain resources and support to go electric at home. The new Electrify My Home program offers full service support to switch to a heat pump water heater, heat pump HVAC system, or induction cooking. These are home upgrades with lasting community benefits.

Electrify My Home

Refer a neighbor and get rewarded. If you’ve already switched to a heat pump water heater, we’ve got a new program that helps you share your love for your new appliance.

How the Referral Program Works

  1. Install your heat pump water heater
  2. Sign up to refer a neighbor
  3. Tell your friends, neighbors, or coworkers about the City’s programs
  4. Your neighbor signs up and installs a HPWH
  5. You get $100
  6. They get $200

Together, you’re taking climate action, building a green community one home at a time.
