Claire Falkenstein was an American sculptor, painter, printmaker, jewelry designer, and teacher, best known for her large-scale abstract metal and glass sculptures. She completed many large commissions in Europe and America, including the gates made of wire and glass beads for Peggy Guggenheim’s Palazzo in Venice.
