The Palo Alto Community Survey is a feedback tool that helps the City Council and City staff understand community perspectives on current services and programs, as well as unmet needs and priorities. The survey was initially sent via mail on August 13 to a random sample population of resident households. On September 15, the survey opens citywide.
Arbor, a temporary art installation by Oakland-based artist and architect Adam Marcus, was on view at King Plaza for a year until Apr 2022. The immersive sculptural installation was a data spatialization of the urban forest of Palo Alto. Arbor used the database of over 45,000 public trees in the City’s Open Data Portal as the basis for a three-dimensional map of one aspect of the city's ecology.
