Salt Pond Grid I

These aerial shots of industrial salt ponds were taken by the artists to document their ongoing transformation. The salt ponds have existed in the South Bay since the 1800's and are characterized by environmentalists as having taken away the lungs of the Bay. Currently they are a part of the South Bay Salt Pond Restoration Project and are expected to revert to their original state by 2080.
