You Look Different Through My Eyes

Image of You Look Different Through My Eyes, Amy Hibbs

Artist Amy Hibbs is interested in the unique and idiosyncratic juxpositions of human habitation with the surrounding natural envirionment. With a firm belief that truth is stranger than fiction, she begins her process by sorting through photographs, both published and from her own collection. She then alters the context of the initial images by drawing, tracking, and re-drawing on wood panel in a process of her own creation. As a result, the finished work is formally sound while inpiring viewers to be outside, seeing the mundane anew.
