Fingerprints are our most ordinary yet invisible marks—tiny self-portraits left behind with every touch. The term “chance impression” was first used in 19th-century London to describe the early forensic method of collecting latent fingerprints. Here, the artist transforms the invisible into the monumental, mapping a single print with thousands of pinpoints pressed by hand.
