In this work, the artist reimagines Palo Alto as both geography and memory. Drawing from historic maps in Stanford’s archives, Wegner layers fragments of the city’s shifting landscape: hand-drawn roads, drifting compass roses, scattered codes, and repeated streets. The result is a city in motion, where scale and meaning blur, and the symbols we trust to represent space become poetic and uncertain.
